Undergraduate Courses

The Program in Indo-European Studies does not have an undergraduate major or minor; but we do offer a range of undergraduate courses, some of which can be used as electives for UCLA majors and minors in other departments. The “core” introduction to the field, usually offered every spring quarter, is Indo-European Studies/Linguistics M150 (“Introduction to Indo-European Linguistics”), which can be used to satisfy elective requirements for undergraduate degrees in Linguistics. Indo-European Studies C160 (“Indo-European Comparative Mythology and Poetics”), offered every few years, can be used to satisfy elective requirements for undergraduate degrees in Classics.
